Hello from los angeles, ca

hello,

I have not been on a bike in many years but after losing 63 pounds I have decided to get rolling! I have a older garage sale diamondback Topanga and I have been fixing it up little by little. it rides ok but today on a 6 mile (round trip) one of the cranks fell off !! a long walk home on bad knees. was still good exercise. am glad to be here and am looking forward to learning more about bike maintenance.

Congrats on the weight loss. You should reward yourself with a brand spanking new bike from your local bike shop (LBS).
When you get a chance stop by the 50+ forum and say hello to the other old timers. I'm 72 and hang out there.
Have fun.
