Newbie from Central Ohio

Hello All,

My name is Jim from Central Ohio and I'm in the 50+ club. I am an adventure and sport touring motorcyclist at heart but decided to drag my 31 year old Raleigh Technium 440 out of the garage and work on trying to keep fit.

I've been riding every morning 6 days a week for the past 3 weeks. We live in a subdivision with one loop that is 0.9 miles around. Started out at 10 laps (9 miles) and have worked up to 14 laps or just over 12 miles. I've been averaging about 15-16 MPH.

I'm surprised at how much I really enjoy getting up every morning and jumping on my bike and I feel so much better.

Looking forward to gaining some knowledge from this forum and might have to go bike shopping soon to find something a little more state of the art.
