Hello, I am Ashley. I am 30 and sort of new to mountain biking, been doing it a few months now. Started back riding on the road to try a drop a few pounds and some friends at worked talked me in to heading off road, so far I love it. Hope to pick up some good info here in the forums.

Hey Ashley, what part of Alabama are you from? I have done both MTB and road biking in your state, mostly in the vicinity of the Chief Ladiga.

I live in Montgomery. I have ridden the Swayback trail, well half of it, a few times up around Wetumpka. I have not tried the Chief Ladiga yet but would like to. Some friends and I were discussing it just the other day.

I rode much of the Swayback several years ago. It was an excellent trail, much of it being fairly technical if my memory hasn't failed me. The Chief Ladiga, on the other hand, is an asphalt trail that is great for meditation or gabbing with fellow riders.
