This is actually my second post. I signed up Sunday and posted in the Commuting thread because I needed some quick advice. I got lots of great responses and since then I've very much enjoyed exploring your forum.

I live in Charleston, SC and have been commuting to and from work for more than 10 years now. I don't have a long commute. It's only 3 miles each way, but it is a very enjoyable part of my day. My bike is an old Bianchi that my boyfriend picked up at a pawn shop and had more or less rebuilt with random parts by a guy who works with the bike co-op here in town.

I hope you don't mind me chatting with you all from time to time. I'm definitely not as much of a bicycle connoisseur as it seems like many of you are, but I do understand the joys and struggles of a daily commute.
