Dave from Plano TX

On and off cyclist for a number of years. Now doing 17 miles a week on the road bike and a few outings a week on my new MTB machine.

Most of my bikes are I guess you'd call vintage except for the new Scott 960 full suspension MTB.

Bought a new Waterford 2200 frame kitted out with Dura Ace back around 2000. This is a 99 model year frame with a flade paint job that starts out red then flames to yellow on fork then the yellow flames to red on the mid section of frame. One of the STI's stopped shifting so after a few people including myself tried to get it to work I used Sora shifters for now. One day I'll pick up a used set of Dura Ace 9 speed STI shifters to replace. No down tube fittings for shifters on this frame.

My old Releigh ProTechnium from the 80's gave it's 105 components to build up a Ciocc Italian frame from the 80's. the Ciocc currently has a flat bar and shifters for around town. Plan is to go back to drop bar and down tube shifters on this ride.

Have an old Trek 1100 with a mix of Edge and Shimano components and a look carbon fork. This bike will give up those components to build up the mint ProTechnium frame. The 1100 frame will then hang on the wall.

Have an 80's Panasonic steel frame with a 700 rear and 24" front making it a real compact bike. Fitted with flat bar and SRAM twist shifters. Too small for us so no plans for it yet.

On the MTB side I have a couple of old bikes

A 94/95 Trek 8000 bonded ZX bike I fitted with Marzocchi suspension fork years ago. I rebuilt the fork with new urethane springs this summer. Bike is in very nice condition.

Also I'm guessing an early 90's Fisher Hoo Koo E Koo steel frame with Deore and Judy fork. Again very nice condition.

Welcome to Bike Forums!

That Panasonic sounds like a Terry design. Cool bikes.

The Panasonic is similar to Terry but I think this one was a lot earlier

Welcome Dave. Your Waterford paint sounds nice. I’m partial to Waterford myself - mine is Flame Blue.
