Hello

Hello,

Iím Erwin and like to rebuild/overhaul old road bikes and like to ride it as well.

Iíve got a couple of them now.
I drive a Mekk Poggio with Campagnolo Veloce or a Batavus Professional with Centour, depent on the weather.
For the day to day use, Iíve also have a Peugeot PX8 that has been turned into a porteur.
My Youngest daughter drives a Jeunet Captivante 190 from the 1970 and the oldest one a Carrera Jakil. In total weíve 15 bikes in a barn from 2,5 by 5 meters

Batavus Professional with Centour 9 speed

Got it from my neighbor.
The bike stood for 9 years in the backyard and the weather did some serious damage.

Originally it was flamboyant red and was built with campagnolo Triomphe.

It is a party to cycle on

Hello @Dieptriest you dropped away … again.
Teased us with more posts and pics of Mekk w/ Campi, Peugeot Porteur, and others.... then, Poof = gone again.

Here's the Batavus I drive - 1978, running a mix of Campi9 - RacingT, Veloce.
Some think I bastardized the vintage bike with 9 speed, but I can take it almost anywhere.

Welcome, @Dieptriest / Erwin! Always nice to meet a fellow countryman this far out in cyberspace. Looking forward to seeing more of your and your daughters' bikes! And yes, do come over to C&V.

Thanks for the heads-up, @Wildwood. BTW, that Competition of yours is looking good! It makes me want to get my own brifterized Batavus back out on the road.
