Recove(rd) or(ring) ?

I have not rode in 5 years. 16 months post a 17' fall that shattered both hips, pelvis, and a complete shoulder replacement 5 months ago and the other one scheduled. 67 years old and planning Gap and C&O ride early this summer. I am having my bike serviced this next week to see if I can still ride and begin to train.
Any suggestions for tire type for these trails. I have a Trek hybrid 26" (41cm) Not a high end bike but not willing to upgrade at this time.

Welcome to Bike Forums. Sorry to hear of your fall. Your question will likely not get answered in the Introductions forum. I suggest posting your question in our Hybrids forum.
