Greetings from Vermont

Iím a 69 1/2 yr. old mostly retired guy tackling the backroads and hills of home on my 8 yr. old Raleigh 1.0. Iíve also been traveling out west every year and taking day rides on roads and rail trails from here to Wyoming. Hoping to bop Ďtil I drop.

Welcome to BF. Lots of good riding in VT! I've done quite a few bike miles in your beautiful state - and have planned some more routes in the Benninton-Manchester-Rutland area using 'Ride with GPS'. I have another ride idea that involves taking the Ticonderoga ferry across Lake Champlain from NY and then riding up to Middlebury and back - some excellent and scenic back roads.

BF is a great website with lots on interesting/entertaining stuff and good people. As another poster suggested the 50+ page is good. You might also want to try the Classic and Vintage (if you like '60's - '80's bikes and discussion). The Bicycle Mechanics page has some real experts to answer all your questions. And the 'General' page has a wide variety of topics.

After 10 posts of your own you can start posting pictures.
