Old Biker still has training wheel on

rode a lot of stingrays back in the 60ís and then Schwinns in the 70ís. Skip to 2017, ride for the first time in decades. They are, right, you never forget but you do break easier.

I have about 5 vintage Schwinns now in mint condition. Bought them because I am 6í4 and taller bikes are rarer. Now I canít decide what to keep as I have not rode them all.

Anyway, I signed up to learn more than I know and be a better rider. I read info from you guys and liked what I read, so the right place to be s member. Training wheels, as being a noob rider again but look foreword to learning...

If it's been that long... I'd start off riding someplace where you can practice looking back over your shoulder without running off the road (or, being run down). Also, maybe put some bigger tires on those old grunts--e.g., those old style brakes and wide rims probably will handle at least 28s. What size tire is on there now or, are we not talking about old 25-1/2" Schwinn road bikes ?

Thanks for joining! You'll get used to riding again, it just takes time. A lot of us are back from not riding for a while but you'll be just fine.
