Hello from Alberta, Canada

Just joined because a discussion on resurfacing cones was urgently needed to help for a quick repair - never seen this forum come up in searches before, seems quite active.

I just got back into riding after a many years of not riding (family/business - just too busy). Going from my 1990's fully rigid POS to full suspension has been quite a treat and a big learning curve. - I had bought a Kona Satori FS trail bike - it was fun but i mistakenly bought 2 sizes too small so it had to go.

Purchased 2 bikes this winter/spring: a 2016 Norco Range Carbon frame (full build project) for aggressive trail & some downhill fun (got a really sweet deal), and for local pavement & light trail use a 2014 Trek X-Caliber 7 which i bought with a flat tire so i havent even ridden it yet (just got wheel trued & tire installed last night....). So Im starting riding very late this season - cant wait to get out there!

Welcome to Bike Forums. I want to hear the story of how you bought a bike 2 sizes too small.

ahh, combination of Konas size chart being confusing - so i grabbed a couple measurements from specs and tried to confirm but maybe measured wrong, and a 6'3" guy selling it told me it worked great for him, and it was a 29er which i learned you cannot go by standover height to guage sizing....so it ended up being a 16" (small) when i should be riding a Med-Large.(i'm 5'10). I was eager to get riding and trusted the guy. - NEVER TRUST SELLERS, DO YOU DUE DILIGENCE!!

Sorry about people doing whatever they can to sell a bike.. but it's good that you are not still riding it because it can damage your body. Enjoy your new bikes and welcome!
