Hello from Michigan
Hello to all.
I go by "Kap".
I have been riding my 1979 Peugeot (AE10 of I recall. Was in excellent condition, I had it 'tuned up' yearly) for 39 years.
I should say WAS riding.
2 weeks ago I had a pretty bad accident and ended up bending the frame in 2 spots a bit.
It's not rideable any longer.
Now I'm out looking at a replacement bike.
Not really sure what I want.
Since most of my riding now is city streets/sidewalks, a 'mountain' bike is more practical but I'm used to and prefer my old road racing style bike.
Been riding my sons new Schwinn mountain bike. It rides really nice in the city but I'm just not sure what I'm going to end up with.
Anyway , glad to have found this site, any advice re: which way to go would be welcomed.
Thanks

Welcome Kap. Another choice is a hybrid, which is a city type mix between mountain and road. Check out all the forums and you’ll get lots of ideas.
