Euro rider

Hi all,
Common courtesy upon joining a message board is (or should have been) to introduce myself prior to posting my first message, please accept my apologies for doing things the wrong way round.

I am 56 and have been an avid rider in my youth many years ago, I am fortunate enough to have still with me my first race bike with drop bars.
I have had several bikes after this first bike much lighter, with better components which I sold when I bought my first car.
Cycling wasn't my priority anymore at that time.
I believe I was thirtyish when I bought my first MTB.
I ride routinely what we refer as a Dutch bike, Single speed Amstel aka plough horse and a Danish Everton 3 Speed Sturmey Archer City.
Planning to cycle in Scandinavia, bikepacker style, I have bought a vintage french Bertin with Vitus 888 tubbing which turn out too big to be converted into a touring bike with front and rear pannier racks.
Then I found a smaller, extremely light, no name (made by a craftsman ?) vintage steel bike suitable to have braze ons welded for a front low rider rack with a very light Spécialités TA (French) triple ring crank.
In anticipation, I started to train seriously with this bike until I developed a sore knee.
Reverting to riding my first bike, a bike I have rode miles with, showed no improvement.
I understand that I am not used anymore to the narrower Q factor than my usual bikes of this vintage road bike.
Hence, my first post here, looking for something which apparently does not exist a 14x1.25 to 9/16" pedal extender.

Edit : poor grammar (x2)

I have (found out about that knee) !
Having given a couple of days rest to this knee, I rode my Kona DH yesterday with no consequences whatsoever.
The only logical explanation, having in mind that "old age" is taking its toll, is this difference of Q factor between my regular bikes and this classic vintage french bike.

Kneesaver exist for a reason which I have painfully discovered. ;-)
Thanks for your kind words.
