Greetings from Spokane
Greetings all, I'm Eric. I like the site, been mostly browsing the C&V forum but I plan to spend some time on the 50+ forum too.
The last few years I've been riding a Raleigh Grand Prix hand-me-down, a Frankenbike gift from a bike mechanic relative (put together from the junk parts bin in the basement). It suited me pretty well but I had been thinking about a better bike lately. I've had some nice bikes in the past, including a Strawberry (Portland, Oregon) from when my brother-in-law built frames for them.
Last week I found a 1987 Centurion Ironman Master on Craigslist that fit me, and well, I bought it. It's a beauty, and while it's a bit twitchy compared to the Raleigh, I'm getting used to it. Of course, as luck would have it, there's a Gios Evolution and a Davidson on CL now too, both in my size, but I'm going to hold out for something that will take wide tires for the "rails to trails" MUPs around here. They're mostly gravel, sometimes only a little smaller gravel than the railroad ballast. The Centurion has little, skinny tires, and no clearance for anything wider. But that's OK, I really like it.
I'm having to make adjustments now that all my old injuries are coming back to haunt me. But riding with my family has been fun lately, and I intend to do a lot more of it. Thanks for providing these forums, and I'll "see" you around.

I may head your way for some riding before the end of the good weather. Daughter graduated from Gonzaga so I know the area a bit. C&Vers just rode in the Palouse recently; also want to explore around Sandpoint.
