Trying to get more into biking Poway, CA

Hey, I've been riding bikes my whole life since I was a kid but mostly BMX. At this point I like riding for exercise and also as a cheaper environmentally friendly way to get to places. Currently I'm trying to get my post count up so that I can post pictures so that I can get good opinions on possible bikes I could by since I am bikeless atm. Having looked at bikes for months now it seems I have some affinity for older Japanese bikes (Univega, Bridgestone, Fuji, Miyata).

I also had a question that I'm sure has been answered but would probably better if people more closer to me would answer but am I able to ride my bike on the sidewalks? I like doing so and have since i was a kid and don't want the extra danger that comes from riding in the road.

Anyways, looking forward to learning more. Hit me up with any tips or anything you think relevant to anything I post!

Hello and welcome! Some places allow you to ride on sidewalks and some places like in NorCal, you can get a ticket for it.

Welcome. Most find the roads or trails better than sidewalks once they gain experience. But that depends on what your goals are. Enjoy riding and the forums.
