Greetings from Phoenix

My name is Phil and I have been living in Phoenix, AZ for about 8 years...I`m 74 years young and hope to stay active for a few more years by riding my bikes...I used to be a commercial artist and even worked in the trades as a welder....Originally born in the Chicago suburbs, Berwyn to be exact, but don`t hold that against me...actually lived in Westchester, Illinois about 13 miles outside of Chicago...I`ve been riding and building bikes since about `87 but I`ve ridden bikes most of my life...I started by reworking trashed bikes, 10 speeds, cruisers, etc...like many others and I`m still learning...I recently got involved with Dahon classic 3 folders and other 20" wheel BMX types and find them fun...I like to use my bike when I go fishing and shopping though I have done more distance on my 26" Trek which I plan to convert to a single speed...hopefully the 20 and 16-inch wheels will hold up to my 230-pound carcass ...PHIL
