Hello there!

Hello there or as we say in Northern Germany: Moin!

My name is Patrick, I'm 29 and I live in the northern part of Germany. I bought my first vintage bike in Spring 2017. It's Peugeot Tourmalet frame from 1988 and I built it up all by myself (and a lot of youtube tutorials) with a complete Shimano 600 group.

In April this year, I bought a Bianchi Stelvio / Rekord 845 from 1985 equipped with Campagnolo Super Record and Dura Ace components, which is my main bike right now. I use both bikes to ride a lot, for example 30 kilometers to work and back home every day.

My dream bike would be a Bianchi Specialissima from the late 80s or some DeRosa road bike, but since vintage bikes are damn hyped in Germany at the moment, it's nearly impossible to get a single frame from the bikes I named under 600€ (that are round about 700$, and that is just for the frame). So maybe I'l have luck to get one in the next years.

Cheers!

Moin!

It's very rewarding to build up your own bike and that's where the addiction gets started. Check out the classic and vintage section, you might like those machines. Lots of people in there to learn from as well.

Oh, and Welcome!
