Back Again

Hello Cycle Friends!
Not exactly new however I've been absent for several years so I thought I would start with a hello! Recently have relocated from the New England area to just south of the Pittsburgh. Different bike life for sure!! Looking at putting in some miles this year and enjoying getting to know a new area!
When I started cycling about 10 years ago I was an injured runner looking to still enjoy the outdoors (now I can't run to save my life, Ha). Started with an aluminum road frame and shortly upgrade to a carbon bike. Still kept my original bike because the majority of my rides included a little person in a seat or trailer. The husband and I added a tandem to our collection for several years, also towing a trailer. This will be my first year riding solo, the youngest is now 7. No more trailers or WeeHoo, amazing how much free space we have in the garage without all the trailers! Of course the little people have bikes of their own so it probably all equals out! Not completely sure yet however might be looking at a more trail friendly bike in the near future. We are fairly close to the Montour Trail and the Gap and completely intend to take advantage of that, especially when riding with the kids!
In the past I've greatly enjoyed charity rides, I pick a few every year and then base my training around that. Plan to do just that this year as well. Works well for me, keeps me accountable for mileage. Its also a great way to see new areas and meet some new faces all while doing some good and raising money for a cause.
Well, Happy Monday to you All!

Welcome. The company I work for has annual meetings this time of year south of Pittsburgh near Uniontown. The cycling looks great there.
