Great White North

Long time reader, first time writer.

Living, working, and riding from Calgary, AB. I work for velofix as their Business Development Manager for North America and race for 54blue (Road Races and Time Trials are my JAM, the longer the better).

Looking forward to diving deeper into the forums, interacting when I can and learning as much as I can.

Cheers
Steve

Welcome! I've been told that Cowtown had a tough winter, and not just the economy.

Make sure you catch the day that the Highwood Pass opens for bike traffic. Last time I was there I passed a huddle of cyclists stopped at the side of the road taking pics. There were children in the group. Turns out that the attraction was a grizzly bear and her two cubs 30 feet off the guardrail. I obviously expressed my concerns and then made a run for it.

Coming off of the pass to the north, I set an all time speed record: 86 kph, assisted with a gale-force tailwind.
