Life time rider, long time seeker on the forum. Getting back into commuting since my school is less than 2 miles away again, which makes me very happy. Always looking for new ideas and things to try. A very busy individual with a 3 year old and he is just as active.

Welcome to Bike Forums, hnoroian! I have an odd attraction to Bakersfield, ever since we used to haunt Mesa Marin Speedway back in the day. I always had a good time in that town. I know that's totally off topic, but enjoy your time here!

I was born and raised here so I know the feeling of an odd attachment to this place. Yes the old Mesa Marin was back in the day, I remember freely riding dirt bikes all over, now not so much. Lots of areas have been developed around there and many people are being ran off and everything is fenced off as private property. But a few areas are still available, and the near by BLM trails are still open. Life is still good here but crime is all over now.
