Got the bug

Hello there! I rode a lot when younger, a bunch of different hand-me-down bikes, commuting and some country road day rides. That was all back in Ireland where I grew up. Always very casual, just the bike, no gear etc. Broke both my legs in a motorcycle accident a few years ago and eventually started biking a lot as part of recovery. I lived in Albuquerque then so it was a blast with all the paved trails all over the city. In Atlanta area now and occasionally ventured out on a beat up old Trek 4300 I picked up for $40 a couple years ago. Was looking at hybrids and picked up a mint '04 Jamis Coda Comp this weekend and while I love it and will keep it for the Silver Comet trail and others around, I can tell it's gonna get beat up fast after a few rides around my area the past couple days. So now I have the bug and am back on FB marketplace and craigslist looking at more bikes! It's fun though as I can just set a low budget and keep an eye out for a deal. Enjoying the forums as a great resource for all sorts of info.

This is just ridiculous. Went FB marketplace shopping this morning. I now have a road bike, trail bike and decent beater.

From your purchases, i bet C&V might have some advice and they always love pics. Get 10 posts in two days and Show Us what you bought.

FYI
The Bug also goes by the name = N+1 ; N being the # of bikes currently owned and N+1 being the number you desire.

Some claim there is a rehab program for The Bug, i haven't needed it lately.

Irish branded Harding, from 1981.
Actually an English Holdsworth, sold thru George Harding's shops in Cork+Dublin (and one in California, owned by Charlie Harding)

I bought it as a frame and fork, so unfortunately, the components are not original

Nice! I'm glad I'm not riding in Cork though, the hills would kill me!

Made it to 10 posts, so here's the current fleet

The Jamis, just did 46 miles on the Silver Comet yesterday and it was bliss

Diamondback Sorrento - picked up in perfect shape with decent components. It's for my son but really it's mine lol

"Beater" Diamondback Wildwood - $25 and it just needs a few minor adjustments, so comfy!
