Hello everyone,
I'll admit I'm here for one thing only - to get a bike appraised. I'm cleaning out my late grandparents' barn and came across my dad's childhood bike and am having an experience selling it, which I'll detail in a post in the appropriate thread. But I can't start there, as I've got to have ten posts in before I can share photos, and it's sorta hard to ask people to value something they can't see, no?

At any rate, I live in southeast Iowa, outside of the biking Mecca of Iowa City, so there are certainly lots of them out and about here. As a motorcyclist, I'm glad to share the road with you folks and wish each of you safe travels during this silly season of pandemic.

Thanks! Too bad, but also totally understandable about RAGBRI. I wonder how the Iowa's Race will go over?

Not a RAGBRAI person because I'm fairly new to biking. Maybe down the roads. RAGBRAI did go through South Des Moines last year. It was crazy packed with cyclists.

You're more likely to find me at Sturgis than RAGBRAI, unless it ever comes through my neck of the woods, but I support it and hope the rupture between the former management and CoVid doesn't burn the whole thing down. It's a great non-caucus boost for the state and gets a lot of folks into corners of Iowa they otherwise likely wouldn't see.
