Hello from Houston

My wife and I are looking for bikes to ride around our neighborhood for exercise. Nothing fancy, no off-roading or cross-country. Unfortunately limited budget, so looking to spend in the $200-300 range.

If anyone in the Houston area has a suggestion where to find bikes like these, I'd appreciate some suggestions. Everything I'm finding online is starting at $650 plus.

Thanks!!

Craigslist.org might be a place to look.

Very glad!! Can't believe it worked out for you that quickly. Did Mark help you out? What did you end up with?

Retrospecs. Fresh out of the box, had to be set up and tested before being sold.
Well, harumph. I was going to post pictures but apparently I need to make more posts before I can.

I had a feeling that it would be retrospec. I knew that those are in his offering. They look really nice.
You'll have to give some feedback after a few rides ... curious how the bike treats you.
:-)

It's 16 years since I last lived in Houston but the memorial park loop used to be a nice, safe space to ride away from the traffic, but not too early in the morning or the pelotons will be screaming round there.

We went on our second ride today. I'm loving the workout I'm getting.

Congratulations on the bikes! My girlfriend decided to try it out and she really liked it. Now we're gonna have to find her a bike.
