New From Spokane, WA
Hey fellas. Looks like I'm in jail as it regards features that I need access to until I make 10 good posts. Figured a good start would be to introduce myself:
I'm 36. I'm a veteran of the USMC. I used to be in very good shape and now I'm not. I'm hoping that getting into road biking will help with that. I've ridden bmx bikes and mountain bikes for the most part, but being broke and desperate in grade school I piloted a way too large hideous yellow road bike for a time. If I had to guess I think it was a Schwinn Varsity.
The reason I joined this forum is because I picked up a steel frame Bianchi that I am simply bashing my head against the wall trying to identify. Secondary to that I'm sure I'll have questions here and there that my enthusiast friend won't have a quick answer to. He told me that I would be hard pressed to find anything better than an 80's steel frame if I wanted to get into this hobby on my extremely limited budget, so I took his advice. I looked at a Miyata, a Lotus, and a Trek before I zeroed in on a Bianchi, which had a name that I had heard my friend use in passing a few times, and always in a positive light.
So here I am.
How are all you fine people doing?

It's a kind of dark blue-green with gray logos! I've looked at hundreds of pictures trying to find out what it is but I have yet to find another Bianchi in the same color.
