New Road Rider from Virginia Beach.
I've had my Specialized mountain bike since 2000 and haven't actually mountain biked in quite awhile. I've had slicks for awhile on it and randomly rode every now and then. As an avid runner for years I have contracted some breathing problems (41 non smoker) the past few years and had to cut down on my running. So with slicks on the bike I tried road biking. After some 10 to 12 mile rides I started looking for a road bike. I was going to buy new, but Covid changed that. I found a nice used Kestrel Talon SL for my first (since I was a kid) road bike. Today, I took it on a shakedown ride. 26 miles averaging 14.6 mph
