Hi I have been living in Massachusetts, in my wife's native country for about three years now after we left the UK. I am 60 years old and have been riding a steel bike since I was a teenager. I saw Eddy Merckx race at Eastway Cycle Circuit, London in 1977. We used to go there every week on Wednesday afternoon as a sports option. It was an open air track a mile in circumference with hills and hairpin bends. At the time, it was the only track of its kind in Europe but was demolished when the London Olympic site was constructed. It is where my love for cycling started.
The classic lightweight bikes/frames I have include Mercian, Hetchins, F W Evans, Shorter and a Higgins trike. I enjoy building up a bike and furthering my mechanical abilities!
