Glad to have you aboard.
Well, that's a section of America that is fairly remote. Lived in the region for years, myself. Loved heading around Hwys 3/96/299/36, the Happy Camp area, the road through Etna, the forest roads, and all the glorious scenery. Miss it.
So, have they finally installed proper bike lanes on all the more heavily-traveled highway routes, or is it still a "grin and bear it" affair?
