Hello from Suffolk, UK
Good Evening,
Went straight in with a post about needing help to ID a Gitane frame, and it worked a treat, so thank you!
I'm primarily a mountain biker, stuck in a very flat area, so dabble with old steel bikes and sell then nice and cheap to friends as an intro to cycling. Some nice, some not so nice, need to build up the slush fund to one day fund my own very nice steel build.
I'll probably be on here fairly frequently asking for bike ID help and component questions. Happy to strip and reassemble a bike, have the tools required, but appreciate the experience in this group.
Happy riding everyone!

Welcome. I only build bikes for my own riding but I have now done a few.
Suffolk, UK? I was born in Suffolk County, USA. (Boston, Massachusetts) Grew up in Norfolk County, just to the south off Suffolk County. Makes perfect sense doesn't it? My namesake was built by your former country-mate (and now spends its days as a classic English fix gear roadster).

Welcome aboard.
I have enjoyed a few rides around East Anglia back in the 80s.

We may know each other through our line of work: or my former line of work. Per Ardua.

I was at RAF Lakenheath from 88 to 93.
worked nights as a cop and spent most of my free time wandering about with my falcon and dog.
