Bike Forums - Hello from Kathmandu, Nepal!

Greetings from the Himalaya mountains! Mountain biking, hardcore trails and downhills are obviously very popular here and rapidly growing. I'm not really into the hardcore stuff. I'm a beginner not having cycled since I was a mere teenager many moons back. I commute to work daily on my new bike, go on longer fitness rides with my buddies on the weekends and do some simple light trails here and there. To fit my purpose I recently got me a new Trek Marlin 7 in emerald iris, the only one they had that fit my size (I'm 6ft. which is kinda taller than the national average). It's my do it all bike and I've been riding it for exactly two months today and love it!

It's almost the end of the monsoon rains here which means the next couple of months will be excellent for cycling. Just wanted to share my excitement with all of you and say hello. I might be asking a few silly newbie questions so please bear with me. Hoping to learn a lot on this forum. Thank you!
