Good part of day everyone!'
Just joined the forum. I am an occasional biker (still using my 20+ year old hybrid, still have a trailer for it that I used to give my kids rides who are now in college... :-))
Main reason for joining is to learn more about older bikes. I have a hobby that might be called "glorified dumpster diving". Or maybe not even glorified. From time to time I come across stuff being thrown away that just seems too good to be sent to the landfill. On a couple of occasions that included old bikes. Just the other day I... acquired an old Schwinn Speedster that appears to be in almost fully functional condition. Even the ties were inflated even though this bike was hanging in a shed for many years. So I want to find out more about this bike -- and any other ones I come across in future -- from all of you who know so much about them! TIA!
