Hello from St. Louis, MO
Hello, everyone. I started riding about 7 years ago as a way to slowly get myself moving again after struggling with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome for a few years. Then, I thought 5 miles was impressive. Nowadays, I'm working towards a half ironman (if the pools ever open back up!) and the week before Thanksgiving I did a 100K ride & 15 K run (62 miles/9 miles). Great way to celebrate turning 50.
I'm pretty new when it comes to the actual bikes. I've was riding an Giant Escape Hybrid until this past Christmas, when I rewarded myself with a Giant Contend AR1 and couldn't be happier.
Love riding in all weather, from freezing cold to blazing hot, which comes easy here in the Midwest - trying to get my wife and kids to join me.
Thanks to all who keep forums like this going.
