Hello from Texas

I'm going to say hello from Texas and Graham, Washington because I ride my bike in both places. I live here in Spring Branch with my wife but we also travel up to our son's in Washington to stay with him for 2 months at a shot. I use my bicycle up there as my only means of transportation. I keep a bicycle in both places. Just fly back and forth. Talk about different weather, wow. Hot and dry down here but wet and cool up there. I am 64 and really love being on a peaceful bicycle. Enjoying a different world than people that only drive cars. Just found this website. Looking forward to keeping track of my miles. Twenty years ago I commuted by bicycle to work in Kansas. My body has really changed since then. Hoping this website will help motivate me to ride more.

Welcome aboard!
I’m envious of how you got the two different riding environments going on. It’s just cold and dreary here now.

Welcome to bikeforums from the north side of Houston. You can explore two different areas. Enjoy the riding. Maybe you could bike to Seattle one time?

Driving from San Antonio to Tacoma, Washington took me 5 days. 5 nights in motels. Flying is a lot cheaper for me. I can't even imagine what it would have been like if I tried to bicycle that far. Lordy!

Welcome to the forum. Sounds like a great situation if you can do Graham in the summer and Houston in the winter.

My company is based out of Boerne and i used to travel there a couple times a year. Wonderful cycling, if a bit hilly (they do call it the Hill Country though) Great German food!

have fun posting
