New but Old
i'm happy to have discovered this forum and all the experts i hope to learn from in the years to come. i ride a 1974 Dawes Galaxy that has been giving me problems, so went shopping and found a late '80's DeBernardi that i'm now trying to figure out now to assemble and ride. My previous bike has downtube shifters and an old Simplex derailleur, the new one has index shifters that i don't have figured out yet. i like to ride for workouts, which i get thanks to the many hills out here on Cape Cod. Funny, i thought this place was flat until i started riding my bike.

Crazy how you think there's no hill on your street until you have to ride up it. Especially on a single speed!

i'm 67 and happy i can still ride. Glad to see you're still at it at 79.
i have a friend from San Antonio i was trying to get interested in biking but he told me it was too hot in Texas to ride! |
