i hv a hybrid now, would like to try a road bike. any comments re cannondale r500 feminine??? my LBS wants me to take it fr $800 (yr 2002). is this a good price??? or get a 2005 fr $950?

i need a 44 cm frame and could hardly find avail stock of road bikes in my LBS. i am also considering to just have an upgrade to trek 7500FX.

Hi and welcome. My only suggestion is to not be in a hurry. A road bike is probably something you will live with for quite awhile and you don't want to settle for second best. Even though the Trek 7500FX is a good bike, if you truly are looking for a road bike, you will not be completely satisfied. You can always keep the hybrid you now have and put a few dollars into it as needed. Trek and Specialized also make several women specific models. Your lbs should be able to get some in so that you can give them a test ride. Jeff
