Hi all!
I consider myself new to biking because it's been about twelve years since I've been on one; after a little over a week of biking just 6-10 miles a day, I'm still getting used to it! I'm 34, married, with cat but without children (yet). I'm a cashier and deliver newspapers in the wee hours (as an independent contractor), which is my main riding time right now, but I'll also be using it to commute to the store (4 miles each way, no sweat) about four nights a week.
I have a '70s ladies' Schwinn Traveler (with LeTour parts, haha) I picked up at a yard sale for $15 a couple of weeks ago that I added a comfort bike handlebar to (sorry if I offend, I have a strong dislike for 10-speed handlebars) that I've been riding so far, which will be my commuter bike. I've also picked up a VERY nice older ladies' dark green Western Flyer (50's or 60's, still don't know yet) that I'm doing a clean-up on (replaced a tube, and cleaned up some surface rust, going to apply a clear coat over the paint which is threatening to come off from being outside too long) that I just took a short maiden voyage on this morning -- what a nice ride!! I also found a nice black Iverson Grand Touring 3-speed for five bucks at a yard sale yesterday morning that I'm going to fix up for my husband, and another ladies' 3-speed I'm going to fix up for my mother. So, I don't know alot yet, but I'm learning as I go!
As far as riding again -- ILOVEIT ILOVEIT ILOVEIT!! I spent two years riding one because I didn't have a car and I was ready, willing and able to sell it when I got another car. Now I'm riding purely for the fun, the freedom, the inexpensiveness (compared to paying for gas!) and the environment. I'm hoping to learn alot from this site and also hopefully make a few new friends.

Hi, Sentinel. I'm not too far from you. I live close to Potato Creek park.
