Hello
Hello,
I've been trolling the forum for a while. Figured I would make it official. I've been riding the road for about twenty years off and on. At times, the cars get to be a pain. I have an older madone along with an emonda equipped with Sram Rival. So far it has been very nice with the exception of the miserable seat post.
I actually sprung for a new Madone recently. Probably my last new bike. It seems to be very fast on the flats. It's not a very good time to actually judge; kinda cold and roads are crappy. Trek might not be on everyone's short list, but my LBS is very helpful and an overall nice, old school establishment.
I'm definitely not the fastest rider, but I ride almost every day.
Thanks for all the informative threads!!!

Welcome, Bully4. There are a couple Emondas in my wife and my stable.

They are very good bikes with the exception of the seat adjustment. That seat-post has been a source for headaches all over.
My original madone had the same thing. I recall the seat angle being easier to adjust. My Emonda requires the ritualistic ordeal of losing all the settings just to tweak the seat 1 degree. Maybe they will come up with a solution eventually.
Have a good day
