Hello from New Zealand...
Hi all.
I've been lurking around here for a while and finally joined.
An "older gentleman" cyclist, classic and vintage only..... Own a Woodrup Giro that I have had for 25 years or so. Use it for everything but have owned a Bottechia, Bianchi and Colnago. Latter two were too small so sold. Bottechia was wonderful, sold it when moving house and regret it to this day....
Have scavenged plenty of nice bikes from the bike pile at the local recycling centers over the years, all of the above bikes came from there in various states of disrepair. Have also sourced many parts for use or resale too. And I DO buy new stuff occasionally.... tires, a Brooks saddle and leather bar tape. However an incredible amount of nice bikes get dumped so I save what can be saved and repair and on-sell the rest.
I'll be around!
