Long time lurker and rider
Hello from Wake County, North Carolina. I've learned a lot by reading through a lot of threads and appreciate the knowledge found here. I've been riding bikes fairly regularly since I was a kid growing up in the 60's and my brother and I would try to jump the 10 ft wide ditch next my parents property on an old single speed bike with 20" wheels. 😏 We were on occasion successful. Mostly ride on pavement and occasionally greenways. I've not really owned too many bikes but my first was a Western Flyer with the venerable Sturmey-Archer 3 speed. I still have that one. Since then I've owned a Fuji crmo road bike, Bridgestone 300, Cannondale R400 and a Nashbar Cyclocross bike. After knee replacement surgery I got rid of the Cannondale and my current ride is a 2009 Giant FCR2 which has been a surprisingly nice bike. For about five years I lived on the island of Bonaire working at the Christian radio station there. I would ride my bike from work nearly every day and so put 2500 to 3000 miles annually on the Bridgestone, which was a great bike.
