Hello from Boston (well, just outside)

I'm getting into biking after having rage-quit as a teen after the chain slipped off my overpriced department store bike for the 11 billionth time. I live in a pretty bike-friendly Boston suburb, so looking forward to restoring an old 3-speed and tooling around town

hows riding in Boston nowadays?
I went some 6 years ago and I had my phone stolen at that park in downtown. Riding the river was decent.

Greetings! Welcome to B.F! I grew up in Reading and commuted from Stoneham to Cambridge for years. I always enjoyed it (well.., not-so-much if I got detoured through Charlestown). Be sure to visit For the Love of English 3-speeds sub-forum at the Classic & Vintage forum, here at B.F..

A.gutii Hah, yes, that definitely sounds like downtown. Im about 20mins outside the city, right next to the Charles, so Im pretty lucky to be near a great casual path

1989Pre I just posted in that forum, replying to yo ! Id have replied sooner but I missed the max 5 replies in 24 hours rule when registering and ran out of posts for the day, oops. Hopefully I dont run out today too.trying to remember to count haha.

Massachusetts has quite a few paved bike trails. not sure of your young Daughter is ready for the traffic on them. one that I ride often is

Minuteman Bikeway ? America's Revolutionary Rail-Trail

& you might enjoy some of the posts here
Metro Boston: Good ride today?
