HIIIIII!
I'm a mostly road cyclist with a couple of bikes.
One 2018 Dawes Ultra Galaxy which I've recently upgraded to a stupid hybrid (as in mix of road and mtb kit) DI2 setup so now have a 3x (48/36/26) on the front and an 11-42 (11 speed) on the back. This replaced the 2017 dawes galaxy that got embedded in the front of a car (double pelvic fracture resulting) a month after i got a warranty replacement on my 2015 dawes galaxy (random frame failure
)
While I was lying on the sofa, post double pelvic fracture, I accidentally bought a CF Prorace Daemon for £300 on ebay. 10000+ miles later the braze on front derailleur mount failed (its now my 1x 50x11-50 zwift machine). This was replaced by my current roadbike, a PlanetX RT-80 in 2021. This has since been upgraded to an 11x 6870 DI2 setup with a 53x39 and 11-32 (11 speed)..
Been through a lot on those bike ... The ultra galaxy was used to complete the cingle de mont ventoux just 4 months after the double pelvic fracture. Definitely one of my all time successes.
Had a couple of bad years due to illness since 2020 (which i totalled 13000+ miles over the year) and am playing catch up right now. I really want to do the col d'isere and the cime de la bonette to complement having already done the stelvio (on the dawes funnily enough).
