Hi everyone, I signed up a while ago, but haven't introduced myself yet,

Welcome !. Beautiful country you live in, been there 3 times, including multi week stays in Tuscany and Umbria. Headed to Sicily and the Amalfi Coast next spring. Possibly the nicest people, best food and best wine in all of Europe. Someday I might get lucky and get to bike ride there.

I was stationed in Vicenza on the northern border in 1978. I bought an " Older Ciscato" it was already old in 1978, from an old racer. He built me a beautiful powder blue bike from his old bikes. Sew up tire all campy butts stays and equipment. It weighed about 16 pounds. I rode it everywhere, even to work.
