Greetings all, from Panama City. I've been living here a few years after being out west in Idaho for several years, grew up in Ohio, just a few miles from Lake Erie. Have always been a cyclist. I grew up building what Id guess one would call faux BMX bikes out of old Huffy/Murray banana seat bikes, we were too poor to just buy a new bike so we'd scour the curbs on trash day looking for castaways to scavenge parts from. All of my friends had a stash of parts and when there was an item we didn't have we'd share and trade to help one another finish their bikes. Fast forward to today. And I have a Raleigh Mojave that I bought at a Boise police auction several years ago for $50, and most recently traded off a free to me beach cruiser for a Schwinn Dual Sport DSB hybrid.
. My interest in riding definitely wanes during the hot summer months, but it's finally September and we're seeing overnight lows in the 60s lower 70s again so it's time to get out and put some miles on.
. Given my youthful adventures I really enjoy having a project to work on. Upgrading and tuning is nearly as satisfying as the ride itself.
