Hello from Turin Italy

Hello everyone!

I'm from Turin in Italy, I've recently started MTB and collecting vintage italian steel road bikes.

I've been reading this forum getting very useful information about my vintage road bikes.

I’m here to share my bike passion and get help and suggestions from the community on parts and restorations.

Here’s the list of my bikes (sorry, can’t post photos yet):
  • 2023 - Orbea Occam M30 mulberry Shimano SLX/XT - full suspension MTB
  • 1980-1990 - Rossin Prestige Campagnolo Chorus 8speed racing T (Triple) - Tange tubing - Sprinkled red - Vintage steel road bike (I love how beautiful this bike is)
  • 1996 - Colnago Superissimo - purple and grey - very small size I bought for my girlfriend
  • 1993 - Colnago Master Olympic - red and yellow (NO art Decor) - this is the new arrival from last week
Unfortunately I don't ride much and I'm very slow but I love to steer at my bikes and from time to time when I can ride them.

Welcome to the forum!

Welcome.

Ride those older bikes and maybe some older people will stare at them, too.
Riding fast, riding slow = it is ALL riding.
Roll On.

(unfortunately, no Rossin or Colnago to share with a picture.)

Well, first of all, you should start riding more. Get whatever type of bike will make that happen. You will feel better and live longer.
Maybe it's time for something a bit more comfortable?
Or an eBike? (they're wonderful; you can do as much or little work as you want)

Welcome, from southeast Wiscsonsin, USA!

Thank you all, I'll do my best to ride more, even if it is winter !

welcome. You have a nice collection of bikes and some amazing bike riding around you. I highly recommend the road riding around Terruggia. The Gios workshop just north of Turin is a great visit (since you love old steel)

With a little help or advice, we can all help each other get out and ride. I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of your Rossin and Colnago Master - I could dream of riding them in Italy!

Your prestige is great and with a nice group of the correct age.
I only miss 1 post to be able to post pictures, you'll see my Rossin in the next post ...

This is my Rossin Prestige with a "modern 1995" group !

And this is my first "Colnago Superissimo"
The size is small (the official reason is that I bought it for my girlfriend, the "real" reason is that I love this bike and the color "purple" but it is too small for me"

Let me know what do you think about it

The "Colnago Master" is still disassembled I'll try to post some picture when done (shortly ...)

cyclic_eric 02-28-25 10:07 AM

Your Rossin is beautiful. I prefer the single color, a strong red, very classy.
The white-yellow-orange Rossin is not my own, instead simply a picture I found.

Nice to "meet" you! Those are some beautiful bikes you have.

Hi,
I've just bought another "Colnago Master Olympic".
It mounts a full shimano 600 tricolor groupset (including hubs) and Mavic Reflex wheels.
What I do not like of the bike as is today are seatpost and stem (too long for me).
What I love of the bike is first the color scheme (origial paint) and the Shimano Groupset (it runs way better than my other bikes groups Campagnolo Chorus, Campagnolo Athena, Campagnolo Athena 11s).

The bike seems to be Colnago Master Olympic Decor 1994 Rabobank with "precisa fork", but strangely it has no chromed parts.
Do you have any suggestion on the exact bike year and model ?

Welcome, from SE Wisconsin, USA!

I don't know any of those bikes. They're exotic here and I'm not old enough.

I'm sure you'll find a lot of like minded folks in the Vintage Bikes subforum.
