Biking the Los Angeles Foothills

Hi All --

I've recently returned to riding my road bike and MTB in the foothills above Los Angeles: Glendale, Sunland, LaCrescenta, La Canada, Pasadena. (At 48 years old, I seem to intensify my fitness training every time I approach a decennial year!)

I'm looking at replacing my 18-year-old Bianchi/Ultegra/Tange steel with a carbon fiber set up. I tried one out recently and couldn't believe the climbing ability of the new rigs!

Cheers.
