Hello from Silicon Valley
 

Hi, everybody!

I've been riding for 35-plus years here in the Si Valley. Mostly road, did pick up Mtn. biking in the early 80's. I tried racing in my 'teens, did some full-on camp touring as well.

My wife and I share a tandem that she calls 'our magic carpet'. With our son along, we ride a triple.

my wife grew up in Palo Alto, we have a little base in Santa Cruz - now we're living between Bahrain and London uk - first tried a tandem in Los Altos, now ride our old santana visa between the oil lines and the camels!

Hi R, Wow, Baharain! Sounds like very warm weather riding. Is there much avid cycling there? I think of it like China, mostly utilitarian commuting, but I do see to remember a stage race, no?

Hello, Cranky. We're practically in each other's back yards. I got onto BF doing some searches on bike techno-geek stuff (carbon fiber longevity). Here's to some of the best cycling areas in the world!
