living in honolulu, moving back to DC
 

Hi everyone,

I've been living in honolulu for the past few years but I grew up in the washington DC area. I was riding a cannondale r700 but I recently got hit by a car and (literally) to add insult to injury he ran over my bike as well. for the past few weeks I've been sitting at home nursing a broken tibia (that's your big shin bone). I grabbed a new bike off ebay, it's an older steel frame specialized allez. I'm not too excited about specialized but it has all campy components so that's nice. it should make a great commuting bike, which is what I bought it for. I think steel is the best choice for a commuter bike.

later this year I will be moving back to DC. it'd be cool if I could connect with some people. I here there is a rather large biking scene in the area. I wasn't into bikes when I was living there before.

Sorry to hear about your accident. I'm glad you weren't hurt any more than you were. I live in the north east but love visiting DC. I imagine there is a large biking community, would love to ride through the city and even into Virginia.
