Hello from Houston :)
Hello, I'm Joe from Houston, TX. I'm a returning rider who's been off the bike for almost 20 years (turning 40 next month) and my girlfriend just bought a Bianchi to ride the MS150. She's been having a great time over the past month training for that ride, and I decided to jump back into riding again. Back in "the day" I rode a Cannondale SR500 w/ Shimano 105 and the original Look pedals, so it has been awhile! The new bike stuff in amazing, and I can't believe the choice of hardware out there now. This past weekend I bought an all-carbon Specialized Roubaix Comp, and took my first ride, and I look forward to getting back into the sport. Thanks to all who contribute to this great forum

Welcome back to the bike!! Great fun riding. I'm in Tulsa and got back into riding a few years ago after a 12 year layoff. I'm now 41yrs. I just saw that Specialized Roubaix Comp at my local bike shop yesterday. Beautiful! Have fun on the forums.

Hello, Houston, from Bellaire! I know what you mean about a long lay-off; mine was about 20 years, too, and the new start has been sputtering along in fits and starts for several years. I hope to finally get into a serious and consistent riding habit this spring.
