Hi from Northern Wisconsin
I have been reading posts in this site for about a month now and want to thank all of you for the vast amount of information available here.
I used to ride everyday and loved it. I don't know what happend that I just kind of stopped, I can only guess that I turned lazy like most everyone else and drove everywhere. Now with gas prices on the rise it really got me thinking about why I drive instead of ride. I now feel a bit stupid for having not ridden in so long, especially when I think about how much money I have spent on my auto's. NOT ANYMORE. I am now 40yrs old, 5'10" and weighin at a hefty 285, I am so mad at myself for this I can't even say.
So little by little I have started riding again, I have 2 decent bikes, a 1984 Trek 500 sport, and a Trek 820 mountain bike. I am ashamed that it took high gas prices to remind me how much I enjoyed riding a bike and I am hoping that in a year or so I can go back to being car-less like I was in my early 20's.
Again, thank you all for the info here and I hope to talk with some of you again.
