Hi All
New guy here. Interests are restoring classic racing bikes (ten speeds, as they were known in my high school day). Generally I prowl the yard sales for bikes and parts, although my best find so far was the hardly ridden Peugeot PX-10 found at the dump in a little town (no gas station even!) in the Mtns of Idaho. Unfortunately, the reason it was taken to the dump was someone had left it out in the weather for who knows how many years and most steel components were rusted beyond repair. Oh well, a good frame to work on, anyway! Other bikes currently hanging in the garage are several raleighs, 2 more peugeots, a Crescent, an A. Bertin, a Trek 760, a Libertas, a Flying Dutchman, a Vista, and of course, my original bike, a 1962 Falcon that I got for Christmas when I was 13 (oh no, now you know how old I am!!) that was brought back to glory by CycleArt in Vista, CA. about 11 years ago. My daily rider is a Colnago Super that I got at (of course) a yard sale for $70. I have been doing this for over 10 years now, and I must say the old parts are getting harder to come by on the yard sale circuit. Yesterday I visited over 40 sales and scored only 1 good part, a used Regina Oro 5 spd rear cluster. Not a great day!! Well, thats my story and I'm sticking to it!! Have a good day!! evwxxx
