Hello! I am a 41 yr old female rider from central Mass. I ride for fitness and recreation. I would commute, but I can't get there from home without the highways... I do ride every day at lunch for 10-12 miles, depending on how much time I have. My weekly mileage is 80-100.

I have been riding seriously for a year, and like to do long road rides, 40 miles or more. I wil be riding in 2 charity events this summer. The first is a 60 mile ride for the American Diabetes association, and the second is the wonderful Pan Massachusetts challenge. I love the sport, love being outside (but will take spin classes in bad weather) and am glad to meet you all.

Hi dolce-rider, what year is your Dolce? I have a 2005 Dolce Elite, and love the saddle so much that I buy spares whenever I see them so that I will always have one available!

Not to mention I'm quite fond of the bike, too!

I allready do ride winters, as long as there's not ice on the roads. As it has snowed five times so far, I'm stuck with the running shoes until something melts. When it DOESN'T look like a winter wonderland outside, I try to ride 6 days a week, all road, some group rides. How about you?

I get out there every day, as it helps relieves stress . And, I have twelve bicycles, so they all need to go for exercise once in a while .

Twelve bikes?!? And I wish I had more time to ride my two road bikes! I started riding to keep in shape for soccer. Now I ride to keep in shape for... riding!

Rural carrier here. Still recovering from a killer holiday season. How about you?

Registered mail clerk. The great thing about registered mail is that the volume doesn't really go up much at the end of the year. For us, it's pretty steady all year, except when IRS returns are due .

But I sure would not want to be a rural carrier during Christmas!

By the way, did you notice that you are no longer a 'new member'?
