hello from Michigan!
Hello everyone!
I'm a relatively new biker from Michigan. Running is actually my main sport, but I've been biking for about three weeks regularly because of an injury in my quad. Biking has been instrumental in keeping me sane; I'm someone who loves to be outside doing something, whether it be working in the garden, biking, running or walking.
Since I've taken up biking, I think I'll keep riding even when I'm able to run again. It seems like a good complement to running.
Does anyone have a good beginners book to suggest? I would love to be able to make sure my bike is properly taken care of. I haven't the faintest idea as to how to fix anything! Anybody have any suggestions!?
Thanks, and have a good one!

As much as I hate their stores for bowing to yuppee's and having piss poor selections, REI has got some good beginner bike maintainance classes. On the subjest of books, I say screw them, because you will get much better and more direct info from this forum. If you live in the Oakland county area, I highly suggest you go to American Cycle and Fitness for repairs that you can't handle and gear.
